First Visit

A case history will be taken so we can get a better understanding of the nature and extent of the problem.

Next, you will receive a chiropractic examination including orthopedic, neurological and functional testing to see if we can help you.

X-rays may be utilized to further assess your problem. Dr. Witkowski will go over the x-rays with you and answer your questions.

What Results Can I Expect?

This depends on your condition. How long you've had the problem, your age, lifestyle and degree of your disability all affect the length of your treatment. Your chiropractic doctor should tell you the extent of treatment recommended and how long you can expect it to last.

One of the main reasons people like chiropractic is that they often get quick results. Individual cases vary and chronic conditions obviously need more treatments. Workers' Compensation Board studies show that people with low back pain (for example) get back to work faster with chiropractic care.

You might also consider the benefits of regular chiropractic adjustments even when you feel healthy. You may not be aware that you have a disorder of the neuromusculoskeletal system until it becomes acute and painful.

Facts About Chiropractic

Your chiropractor knows the structural integrity of your skeleton, how well it's working, how it makes you feel and how it affects the quality of your life.

Chiropractic's approach to health uses the body's natural powers of healing and does not employ drugs or surgery.

Chiropractic is Maine's third largest primary contact health care profession, and the largest to use drugless treatments.
